FABULOUS FALL FISHING
Lake Winnibigoshish (Lake Winnie) is a legendary Minnesota walleye lake. Fall is a perfect time to head to Winnie’s proven waters in search of trophy walleyes. Plus, Lake Winnie routinely offers perfect “eater” sized walleyes (that seem to grow longer as the day goes on). We also feature a SIX FISH WALLEYE limit! No matter if you’re a novice or a seasoned fisherman, Lake Winnie fall fishing offers something for everyone – we’re home to the state muskie record, produce many trophy size northern pike and have a fantastic population of jumbo perch!
In addition to walleye and jumbo perch, Lake Winnie also has excellent populations of Crappies, Sunfish, and a virtually untouched population of huge Largemouth Bass. Lake Winnie is full of structure including humps and bars. Walleyes can be caught by using a variety of methods including live bait rigs, trolling spinners, jigs, crankbaits and slip bobbers. In the fall walleyes and perch are often found in shallow water flats in search of prey. They’re often caught on light tackle – making that trophy catch even more special!

Fabulous duck and goose hunting, whitetail deer hunting and ruffed grouse hunting are right outside your cabin door! We’re fortunate to be located in the heart of Northern Minnesota’s Chippewa National Forest and near acres and acres of state land and small lakes and ponds. Hunting opportunities abound!

Sunny days and cool nights provide beautiful fall colors on Lake Winnie and in the Chippewa National Forest! Fall colors walks and drives, Bald Eagle viewing, miles of hiking, biking and ATV trails and nearby golf courses also are ideal during the fall.
There are three casinos just a short drive from your cabin along with great shopping in nearby Grand Rapids, Walker and Bemidji, MN.
Our 13 cabins are fully equipped and spotless when you arrive. They include appliances, cable TV, cooking utensils, bedding, picnic tables and barbeque grills and more!
