Lake Winnie is a Walleye and Jumbo Perch factory that is home of the state record Musky and also produces many trophy size Northern Pike. In addition to these widely sought after species, Lake Winnie also has excellent populations of Crappies, Sunfish, and a virtually untouched population of huge Largemouth Bass. Unlike some other lakes, Lake Winnie not only produces limits of fish in the spring, but throughout the summer.
In the fall, Walleye, Musky, and Northern fishing is phenomenal on Lake Winnibigoshish from September through mid November and the duck, grouse, and deer hunting is spectacular!
Winter brings awesome Jumbo Perch and Walleye fishing with plowed lake access to the best fishing spots on Lake Winnibigoshish. In addition to fishing, the Chippewa National Forest has an extensive network of snowmobile trails that will provide hours of fun and entertainment. No matter what time of year, we have people in camp that can help you catch fish. From professional guides to hard-core local fishermen, we always have up to the minute information about where the fish are and what they are biting on.
For the downtime or for people who don't fish every minute, we are located in the heart of the Chippewa National Forest with miles of hiking trails, ATV trails, and some of the best Bald Eagle viewing in North America. There are three casinos just a short drive from your cabin and great shopping in Grand Rapids and Walker. If you enjoy golf, there are several championship courses in the area and we would be happy to arrange tee times for you in advance.
